Phone contesting with Flex 6600 and external speech processor

I did a few SSB contests using TenTec 715 external speech processor. With the processor, stations were giving me about 2S better report, an improvement of about 6 db or 4 times. My signal is finally competitive. In CQ 160 phone, I got a second place in the 4th region. Pretty good for me as this region also includes VA with better access to EU.

I am using Heil Proset 7 headset that has normal and contest elements. The normal element is preferred although I did not test whether the contest element is more effective. Some guys complain about splatter. But no extra splatter is visible on a panadapter, except that the whole signal is louder.
